Description

Suitably flash yet elegant at the same time, the Warwick First Lady Cabernet Sauvignon is a rollercoaster of excitement.  This perennial overachiever is laced with cherries, dark brood-ing chocolate, blackberries and licorice, all with a twist of leather right at the end.  This wine is so full of flavour even your granny will do cartwheels.  Smooth and enticing, you’ll be lip smacking until another glass is poured.  What about barbecued beef brisket, slow grilled and tender with some creamy dijon mash and garlicky beans?  Or even just a plate of cured salami and a wedge of pecorino, a drizzle of truffled honey.  In order to achieve the full flavours in this wine without making it too heavy, we use fruit from some of our younger vines. This allows a delicateness to pervade while still offering alluring length.  Then the wine  nestles, undis-turbed in our cellars for 18 months with gentle exposure to French oak.  The resulting wine is soft and moreish, and certainly ready to drink. Not need to decant if you don’t want to, just make sure you chill it slightly if the weather is very hot.
