2024 Sweet Cheeks Winery Sauvignon Blanc
Southern Oregon
Cellar Select – Oregon Wine Press, June 2025
James Suckling | 90 Points
Wine Enthusiast score to be published in the Aug/Sept Buying Guide – 6/29/25
Crafted by one of Oregon’s most visited wineries and recognizable brands, the 2024 Sweet Cheeks Sauvignon Blanc is a standout white wine positioned for both on- and off-premise success. This vintage brings together premium fruit sourced from Southern Oregon’s acclaimed Quail Run and Parker Vineyards, expertly handled by Leo Gabica, Oregon’s only Filipino-American winemaker—a detail that resonates with today's story-driven, inclusive market.
Fermented entirely in stainless steel, this Sauvignon Blanc preserves vibrant acidity while allowing the purity of fruit to shine. The result is a wine with striking aromatic lift, a clean, mineral-driven backbone, and a flavor profile that harmonizes Old World restraint with New World exuberance.
Fresh citrus and subtle tropical tones meet a crisp, refreshing finish—ideal for by-the-glass programs, summer releases, and wine club features. With a James Suckling 90-point rating and Cellar Select honors from Oregon Wine Press, this release offers built-in accolades to support sales.
Limited production, high consumer appeal, and a compelling winemaker story make this a smart addition to any forward-looking portfolio.

About this company
From the very beginning, our vineyard and winery has been an unusual story of vision, grit, and can-do spirit. Our vineyard was planted throughout the 1980s - 1990s, and completed in 2001. Primarily we grow Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, with small blocks of Chardonnay and Riesling. We practice organic, dry farm and hand harvest. In addition to our vineyard, we have partner vineyards in Southern Oregon to complete our wine portfolio. Our winemaker, Leo Gabica, was the first employee hired at Sweet Cheeks Winery. Originally from the Philippines, Leo\'s story is inspirational and his intention with winemaking is to highlight the varietal. We have a tasting room that is open year-round, as well as the ability to ship our wines to most of the U.S. Our wine club membership base is at 2,000 members and growing. We also distribute to a few pockets of the U.S.
