Emmanuel Obrist founded the Obrist & Cie wine business in Vevey. The family business is growing rapidly and as soon as his son Emile takes over, the progress is spectacular. In 1909 he erected a cellar at Le Clos du Levant in Vevey which serves as a new reference in the wine sector. Obrist thus becomes a key player in wine trading in French-speaking Switzerland.
