Our History: Juan Giol, Bautista Gargantini and Pascual Toso came from Europe to Argentina around 1.880 and they settled in Mendoza. They were associated and established their first winery, being really pioneers of the Argentine wine industry. We are their direct descendents being the fourth generation.Our grandparents Humberto Giol (Juan’s son) and Eleonora Gargantini (Bautista’s daughter) got married and in 1930, with the same spirit of their parents, bought wineries, vineyards and also founded Bodega y Viñedos San Polo. These possessions were situated in one of the best environments for wine growing and wine making, right by the foot of the Andes Mountain range.
