The modern history of Doina Vin starts in 1993, after Moldova obtained independence and market principles started to determine the development directions for wine industry. The winery started with 1,5 th hectares of vineyards planted with European grape varieties Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Merlot, etc. This couples into a first class wine which reflects the character of the micro zone and the appellation. In the past 4 years the enterprise added value to the quality of its wines by introducing new equipment from France for treating grapes. Furthermore in efforts to gain knowledge about modern practices in winemaking industry, company staff went on study visits to major wineries in France and Germany.
