Kona Brewing Company has sweet news for fans of its vanilla-flavored stout: For the first time ever, Imperial Vanilla Stout will be available in 22 oz. bottles on the Islands – joining the brewery’s flagship beers including Big Wave Golden Ale, Longboard Island Lager, Hanalei Island IPA, and the latest addition to Kona Brewing Co.’s retail line-up: Kua Bay IPA.

Part of the popular Lanai Series, Imperial Vanilla Stout will also be available on draft in California, Washington, Florida and Nevada through December 2017 (or while supplies last).

“This big and robust beer is a fan-favorite because of the flavorful balance between roasted and chocolate malts, topped off by wonderful flavors and aromas of vanilla,” said Ryan McVeigh, Kona Brewing Co Brewmaster. “We’re thrilled to bring it back to the Mainland, and release it in 22 oz. bottles in Hawai‘i, in time for the holidays.”

Imperial Vanilla Stout uses whole vanilla beans, natural vanilla flavors and roasty malts to create a full-bodied brew with notes of chocolate, roast and coffee. Imperial Vanilla Stout (ABV 8.5%, IBU 26) finishes like a vanilla mocha with a complimentary sweetness and moderate roasty bitterness. Imperial Vanilla Stout’s sweet, roasty flavor pairs well with dessert and can even serve as a dessert on its own.
