Tesco refuses to sell Champagne to woman with self-harm scars
British retail giant Tesco has apologised after staff at one of its stores refused to sell Champagne to a recovering self-harmer because of the scars on her arm.
Becci Wain, 21, said she was left “humiliated” after being barred from buying Champagne as a present for her friend’s birthday.
The recovering self-harmer has been receiving therapy and hasn’t cut herself in over six months.
