With winter botanicals popping up in full swing, it was only right that Scottish distillery Dunnet Bay release its final Winter Edition Rock Rose gin.

The hero botanical here is spruce tips (from Christmas trees yes), with the original botanicals and elements of Rock Rose scaled down to allow the slightly citrusy notes of said Christmas trees shine through.

The weighty ceramic bottle has also been given a festive makeover, with wintery colours of white, grey and blue making it a great addition to your Christmas back bar.

‘Our aim is to create spirits that express a true flavour of the Scottish Highlands and the seasonal editions are a brilliant example of this,’ said Martin Murray, co-founder of Dunnet Bay Distillers.

‘With local spruce tips the hero botanical we believe we have crafted a truly unique spirit with our Winter Edition and as well as serving with tonic, we also recommend serving it neat in a hot glass.’
