Launched this week ahead of father’s Day on 18 June, the trio had been introduced to enable “budding whiskey enthusiasts” to try premium whiskeys at “incredible value”, said Lidl spirits expert, Tristan Stephenson, adding each tipple had a distinct flavor. 
Speyside is described as “oozing elegance” with flavors of vanilla, honey, cinnamon and creamy caramel, creating a light and refined whiskey, while Islay “packed a punch” with an array of aromas including salted bananas, baked apples and a hint of smokiness.
Pitched as an ideal pudding accompaniment, Highland incorporates sweeter flavors mixing crème brûlée, glazed orange segments and honey dipped in brioche aromas.
“Sitting below the £20 price point, Lidl customers can treat their dads to a high-quality bottle of whiskey without breaking the bank this Father’s Day,” said Stephenson.
