Kohyo Co., Ltd. was established in 1971 as an exporter & importer of seafood. In 2011, we marked our 40th anniversary with a turnover of well over 40 billion yen.
In addition to seafood, our business has also been expanded to agricultural products, livestock products, and wines. This successful growth has been supported by our customers, suppliers, shareholders, and our dedicated staffs who have strived to uphold the management philosophy our founder left behind. 
Japan is undergoing deflation, financial difficulties, the decline of a social security system, 
an excessively aging society, and so on. While The Japanese economy has to cope with reduced demand in all aspects, the population explosion brings about the drastic increase in food demand on the global basis. Kohyo continues to serve as a bridge, connecting superior supply source and consumers in a sustainable way with high-quality products which maintain Japan’s food culture.
